GFRP - Glas fibre braided tape width 5 - 10 mm - 1621
Art. No.: GFK-Flechtband10
The versatility of glass as a fiber makes it a unique industrial textile material. Fiber glass in fabric form offers an excellent combination of properties from high strength to fire resistance. Wide ranges of yarn sizes and braided patterns provide huge number of design potential allowing the end user to choose the best combination for material performance, economics and product flexibility. The combination of properties such as low moisture absorption, high strength, heat resistance and low dielectric constant makes fiber glass fabrics ideal as a reinforcement for printed circuit boards and insulating varnishes.
General Characteristics:
-high surface weight ratio
-amorphous structures
-possible same properties in fiber longitudinal and transverse directions
-In contrast to carbon fiber, glass can undergo more elongation before it breaks
-semi-rigid material
-no stretch or shrink after exposure extremely high or low temperatures returns toloads near the breaking point -----
almost back to its original shape.
-low moisture absorption and water resistant
-no physical or chemical change in water contact allows
-Flexibility in the design of low price
-not flammable or oxidising
-retains about 25% of its original strength after short-term about 537 ° C
-little or no response to most chemicals
-no mildew, rot or not rot
-resistant to hydrofluoric acid, hot phosphoric acid and strong alkalis
-excellent material for electrical insulation
-low thermal expansion coefficient
-good thermal insulation
-high thermal conductivity
-no contact corrosion due to electrochemical effects
