SET OF 10 PIECES BFK/CFK/GFK rods with profiling are manufactured using pultrusion technology. The rod is a reinforcing bar made of composites and an alternative to the well-known reinforcing steel.

BFK - Basalt Fibre Reinforced Plastic (BFRP)

The profiled reinforcing bars developed by us are characterised by very high corrosion resistance with outstanding tensile strength. Another advantage is the equal temperature expansion behaviour of GRP/CFRP and BFRP profiled rods and the concrete matrix surrounding them, which reduces temperature-induced stresses. The profiled bars produced in one process step are manufactured on fully automated equipment using a newly developed process. The surface of reinforcing bars features a continuous series of ribs or dimples to promote better bonding with the concrete and prevent slippage. Composite bars can be made of GRP glass fibres , CFRP carbon fibres or BFK basalt fibres. They differ in technical properties and also weight.
